Butter and Egg (Toadflax) - seen all along the trail
Butter and Egg can be seen all summer, but is most prominent in the late summer. It can be seen in the
meadow areas of the trail, particularly at the intersections where the trail meets a roadway.
Butter and Egg like Dogstooth Violet is not a native Minnesota wildflower, but has brought in from overseas and has spread
to the wild. In the wild it appears to be a non-harmful plant to the trail, and it looks very pretty as well.
